Aiki is a Japanese word from Budo, or ´war art´ and refers to a ‘great harmony’ that is available in a battle or conflict. A wiki is a platform for collaborative editing.
‘aiki.wiki ™’ is a platform for online collaborative consensus building and publishing.
The full platform has three distinct functions.
- aiki wiki is the online forum for collaborative discussion and negotiation.
- aiki atheneum is the library for collaborative curation, publishing and broadcasting.
- aiki ikia is the governing rules of engagement across aiki wiki and aiki atheneum.
Discussion, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving, collective editing, group curation, deep contextualization, authoritative and credible broadcasting are all features that emerge in resolving the conflict of idea through the aiki wiki suite of engagement.
aiki wiki: resolution for the conflict of idea
aiki wiki as an algorithm for collaborative discussion engineering is a functional, logical and intuitive approach that allows two ideologically opposed users to both ‘win’ their disagreement and publish an outcome as a collective agreement or resolution.
As long as users keep discussing, resolution is the only logical and intuitive result.
Through ‘it’s unique process for collaboration – aiki.wiki will produce articles, solutions, and outcomes that were formed by a true and honest rational consensus.
aiki.wiki will be able to process global discussions at scale– and the more that participate in a topic article the more robust that solution or article will be clarified and refined.
ntroducing subtle gamification, aiki wiki provides three unique arenas which manage the three types of discussion around a topic.
- aiki wiki forms a rational consensus in the Arena of the King which manages critical discussions emerging in the topic.
- Opinion, commentary, or any type of creative discussion emerges within the Arena of the People.
- Open questions emerging in the topic become governed inside the Arena of Inquiry.
aiki wiki’s; algorithm then identifies and rewards editing permissions to participants based on their behaviors and consistency within any topic discussed.
aiki.wiki is fun. It’s like taking the best of Wikipedia and the best of Reddit and fusing them into an holistic and elegant platform for publishing and discussion engineering without competing with either of them. It creates new methods for online engagement which previously never existed, allowing for new measurements and outcomes.
aiki.wiki’s unique discussion algorithm will evolve to be customizable for online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia, social networks and any publisher that seek to resolve or solve critical issues that require a trusted rational consensus and benefit from large scale collective participation.
The prototype for aiki wiki’s discussion arena is currently in development. We expect to publish the prototype by Q2 of 2015. We have successfully processed one test discussion, which will be re-coding the prototype over the next coming months.
