Grand Theft Auto VI is Rockstar Games' next major game in the GTA series. The action will take place in the fictional state of Leonida, where Vice City is located — a city familiar to fans of the series on the game Vice City. Official Rockstar materials describe Leonidas as the setting of a new story, but do not reveal all the details of the game world and its device.
Jason & Lucia
In the center of the plot are Jason Duvall and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar describes them as a couple whose plans go awry: the heroes find themselves embroiled in a criminal conspiracy spanning the state of Leonida and must rely on each other. This is an official tie, not a complete retelling of the plot: it is better not to think out the details of the story and its ending yet.
Release Date & Platforms
The official Rockstar page has a release date of ** November 19, 2026**. It also lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release date may change, so before buying it is worth checking it with the latest information of the publisher. The PC version is not listed on the verified official page; this does not mean that Rockstar has permanently excluded it in the future.
What remains unknown
Before the game is released, you should not take rumors and leaks for confirmed facts. In particular, the official materials below do not give a complete description of all game systems, additional modes and possible future versions. It is safer to separate the confirmed Rockstar from the assumptions and wait for the publisher's ads.
So far, GTA VI can be described as a crime story about Jason and Lucia, which takes place in Leonidas and Vice City. This is enough to understand the general outline, but not enough to confidently judge all the features of the game that has not yet been released.
